I am  Hans-Rudolf Pfeifer, soon emeritus Professor in geochemistry at the Faculty of Geosciences and Environment of Lausanne University, Switzerland.

This blog was set up by my daugther, Catherine, who runs her own blog about rural areas. During the first year, she will be a regular author of this blog.
